The Eric Dow Boatshop of Brooklin, Maine is internationally recognized for its leadership role in both custom and production wooden boatbuilding and for its founder's many ongoing contributions to the advancement of the industry and the education of its devotees and participants. For a quarter-century since completion of his formal training and apprenticeship in the arts of traditional boatbuilding, Eric Dow has operated his business in the heart of New England's finest sailing grounds, in what is known to some as "the boatbuilding capital of the world".
